IDX Big Two Timer Switching Off!?

I have the IDX Big Two Timer in my Fragramatics vacs. I notice now every couple of days, its seems to go stupid and turn itself off. I just power cycle it and its good for another couple of days.

I suppose I likely just need to send it in for repair, unless anyone has an idea what's going on with it.

I would move it to another vac and see if the problem goes with it. I have found that when my Fragramatics vacs start doing weird things, it is usually a problem in the Fragramatics power supply. If your problem stays with the vac I would suspect this power supply. Fragramatics has a rebuild program. Send your power supply in and they will send you a rebuilt one. If the problem goes with the timer I would send it to IDX to repair.

Now let me get on my soapbox:

I have a Fragramatics vac down needing a new power supply. The vac has been down since Dec 14. I called Fragramatics at noon on Dec 14 to place the order and got a message that they were shut down and wouldn't reopen until after the holidays. So for 2 1/2 weeks I've had my vac down and can't even order the part until tomorrow. I understand small manufacturing doing this (shut down while slow and force everyone to use all their vacation), but they should at least have a skeleton crew or someone on call to handle things like my situation. I don't like to have equipment down for a day - let alone 3 weeks.

I have not had one of their power supplies go yet (7 years now). Will switch with a spare and see if the problem follows.

I too have an order outstanding with Fragramatics. I find it interesting the stand they take by not having distributors and closing for 2 weeks during the holidays.
