A Saturday morning and a float switch has failed in the hot water tank for my SS. Turn all the poser off to the bays while we repair it. Have to drain the tank so no water for the pumps. I get phone calls from people in the bays who have pulled in and can't wash. I tell them we are inside fixing it and it will be 20 minutes or so. get it replaced only to have a wire short out that we will have to replace. fix that and turn the bays on real quick to test the circuit. The customers see the timer lights and immediately start the bays up of course. I have to run out and say no and refund their money and we would let them know when they can start. ONe little guy is all bent out of shape even after the refund. I then place orange cones in all the bays so no one can use them while we are testing. WHile inside testing things a guy in a Mercedes pulls in past the orange cones and proceeds to start the wash up. I am not happy about possibly have a pump get fried because of no water. I run out to the bay and tell him the bays are closed for repair. He looks at me and says well you don't have to tell me like I am some kind of idiot. I just point to the big orange cones and say "well it is pretty obvious what you are."
