Is it worth buying into a franchise like Tommys to get on the ground and running? Then branch out on my own from that one. What are your thoughts? As always thank you for your input.

Tommy's is expensive. On top of that, they don't use a top brush, which is going to create cleaning issues from the start. They do have cool looking designs though.

Although it might be expensive, Tommy's is a good start for a car wash as if you don't know anything about car washes and want to own one, they'll train you I think.

You can get training a number of ways without being forced to give up 10% of the top every month for the rest of your life.

I used to talk to someone who worked at a Tommy's. He said that franchisees are trained before the site is built, so that's when it came across to me that it would be a good idea for someone who doesn't really know about car washes.
