Hydra Flex or Mizer Chemical Dispensing Systems

Has anyone used or installed a Hydra Flex or Mizer Chemical Dispensing System in their tunnel wash? I went to an open house at a car wash the other day which had a Mizer Chemical Dispensing System where the rep had stated that the triple foam had a dilution ratio of 800 to 1. We are currently using hydrominder setup's for the most part and have never really been able to get even close to that type of dilution ratio. Wanted to get some feedback from other operators.......

Was he using the same chemical as you do? There is a wide difference of dilution ratios from product to product. The biggest advantage of chemical dispensing units is that you get consistent accurate dispensing of the product. It does not necessarily allow you to use less.

I'd have to check but I think that is about what I get with the KR Triple foam product using Mr. Foamer applicators. I was able to cut dilution significantly with the Mr. Foamers. Would not have believed it, but I did it last year with one pair recommended by my soap salesman. After trying one pair and doing a little math and with the show special I bought 11 more pairs . (2 more for the trial location, and 3 more each for the other 3 locations) Since found KR sells a foamer that is almost the same as the Mr. Foamer (Bought one and tried it) for significantly less but without the Banana tube. You could likely make your own Banana type tube for a lot less if so inclined.

Aside from dilution you need to check product volume used at diluted rates. For instance, I went from the flojet being at 40 PSI for the foamer to 15 -20 PSI.

We are not using the same products. That wash was using Lustra products and we are currently using Simoniz. That wash was using the ultra concentrate version of the Lustra products which I believe they refer to us Ultra Flex.

Earl, what applications are you using the Mr Foamer, pre soak, triple foam, wrap soap? Were you able to get those types of dilution with all of your applications? Does the "show" still look good for the customer?

did you buy the 16" generators or the shorter ones?

Hi, did you buy the 16" generators or the shorter ones?

Yes, they have 2: a 16 inch as well as a 10 inch.

Also, KR sells a hydro spray version at about half the price too!

I bought and compared the KR version . Seems to do as well but doesn't have the banana tube. If you are into DIY seems you could fashion your own for a lot less than the price difference. Just got a TSS ad with a similar version but different applicator. Have not seen a Video of how that works yet.
