high impact pump

The easiest way to post pics is to use a hosting site. Imageshack.us is free and easy to use, and there's a smatrphone app to upload pics direct from your phone to your account, then you just paste the forum link it provides you right into your reply here.

Ryko uses the Cat pump for the spinners on a Softgloss Max (I will have to look up the number). I somehow missed the second page of this thread. The ocillating sideblasters do work with the OHD or Radius high volume/low pressure High impact pump. http://youtu.be/bW5qMfjmx80

Both valves are on the same line but one doesn't have the same impact how is that possible? if two pumps we're shown side by side such as a cat pump vs a hi-impact pump at the same time that would look better in the video.

Rykopro, Do you happen to know the rating on the prewash pump on a Softgloss? I would guess it at 200 lbs or so. The spinners would be impressive at 350 lbs. Maybe I'll keep my eyes open for one that will get me 300-350 lbs of pressure. Like I said, it's adequate now but could be better.

Jim,

These pumps are for high volume and the GPM are determined by how tall the pump is (# of vanes) and the motor size. I thought the pressure was always around 350 and it is the GPM that increases with pump size but I would have to research the pump itself to figure it out. I will try tonight if I have time.

Just want to be sure that we are talking about the same pump. I'm talking about the pump that powers my prewash on the softgloss. To be honest I have never laid eyes on the pump. It's in that ss box in my equipment room. I don't think it's the same as on the ohd but then I don't know anything about the ohd.

We are washing a few cars today after 3 days of rain. Everything seems to be going pretty well. Timed my top wash at 5:30 today so I'm thinking I probably shaved off a minute. If we have a great winter I may keep my eyes open for a reasonable price on a pump that will crank 300-350 psi.
