Heat strips

Anybody know how to stick heat strips back on to something once they have come off?? I am rehabbing a bunch of coleman combo vacs and all the fragrances and visual fluids popped the heat strips, they still seem to work fine just dont know how to glue them back on?? Any help is much appreciated.
 
I usually just use silicone. You can get high heat type at any automotive store. I've also used window and door type with no problems. Let it dry well before hooking the heat tape back up.
