Has anyone done a 5CP bearing replacment?

I've got a 20 year old 5CP2120 pump with a fresh warranty head and seal kit. and it sounds like the bearing might be going out (I am assuming it's not the motor bearing at this point)

I'm thinking It's best to just replace the pump and salvage the head for spare parts. But before I do that, has anyone bothered putting a new bearing in, and if so is it worth the trouble? KR doesn't even have the part on their website so I'm assuming it's not commonly done.

I've never done the bearings on a 5CP pump but I did change the bearing on a 310 pump once. Never again will I do that. Now I call Kleen-Rite and order a 310 crankcase less the head. I've got one now that's banging pretty good that I need to change out.

Yes. Make sure you replace the shaft seal & bearing cover O-ring when you do the work. It's pretty easy. Maybe 20-30min to do both.

Remove rear case cover on pump and use this air chisel to remove bearing only. Tap new bearing in with a hammer and deep socket or a pipe that drives the inner ring on bearing.

Just thought I would update on Randy's suggestion. I couldn't find the drive end on the website. KR Part number is PU5CPRA-WP. This also comes with new plungers. Current price is 362.99

Greg i have done 10 or more bearings on a cat 310 only thing i would order from kleenrite is the actual bearing cover end seal like mentioned above. Take the rear crankcase cover off and hit the bearing with a flat head screw driver and a hammer from the inside and it will pop out, on the bearing itself take it to Orileys or Napa and they will reference it with one identical for like $25 and will be just as good quality or better. I put them in with wood and a dead blow hammer nasty mess by the time you get done. If you take the rear crankcase seal and its metal all in it and metal chunks throw it away the squeeze aint worth the juice.
