How many of you who operate fixed-location detail facilities ACTIVELY MARKET your hand-carwashing services?

If so, How?

If not, Why?

I offer a hand wash but market it very little, because:

1. I would rather market my SS and IBA washes.

2. I am conflicted on what to charge for a hand wash.

3. I am not sure what to offer as part of it (doorjambs, towel dry, tire shine?).

We do not market our handwashing services to customers whose vehicles will have no issues going through our tunnel. Doing so almost says that you don't believe in the system you have invested a couple hundred thousand in.

We do offer hand washing to vehicles which we cannot process through our tunnel (low sports cars, dually trucks, busses) and have a sign posted for scooter and motorcycle washing. Our prices start at $10 for bikes, $49.95 for cars and trucks, and custom quotes for all others.

HAND-CARWASHING — A Great Profit Center!

HAND-CARWASHING ANYONE?

How many of you who operate fixed-location detail facilities ACTIVELY MARKET your hand-carwashing services? Not merely offering it as an accommodation, but MERCHANDISING IT?

If so, How?

If not, Why?

How about conveyorized carwash operations. Do you ignore the impact of... and profit potential generated by hand-carwashing?
