Gs-401 conversion to Dixmor LED 9 issues

Hi all, this is my first time posting but have been a reader for a few years. Just wanted to say this is a fantastic community thats been instrumental in my growth. I started in this business as an attendant in spring 2023 with absolutely no experience after graduating college, and have found myself managing 4 self serve washes after the company changed hands and I was promoted.

That being said I’ve already converted two 8 bay washes from ginsan gs-401 timers to dixmor led9 timers in order to facilitate the installation of cryptopay tap plus units and utilize the count up function on these led 9 timers. I’ve done so by connecting the two wires on the common and timed terminals on the old gs-401 one end of which routes to the bay, in addition to routing the wire from the hot terminal to the bay to power the timer by connecting it with the old time alert or coin pulse wire that used to go to / from the gs-401 out to the bay. I connect the two wires that were on the timed terminal of the gs-401 , as one went to the green indicator light on the facelid and one went to power the rotary switch, in order to route timed 24vac power from the LED 9 through the old bulb indicator wire directly to the rotary knob. The old green light bulb was taken out before I installed the LED 9. With this bay, the timer turns and coin acceptor turn on and work, but no functions work. I tested the rotary switch with a multimeter and verified that it works, and connected a wire from the 24vac hot wire that goes to the timer directly to the common pins on the switch and it still doesn’t work for any functions. I’m clearly missing something here, can anyone help?

ps, in the past I believe I’ve usually routed the 24 vac hot wire to the bay / led 9 via a spare wire or the old coin acceptor pulse wire that went to the gs-401. Could using the low time alert wire instead be causing an issue? I’m so confused!
