Got rid of wash package deals

What pay station are you using for the wash bundles? Are the bundles app based? Dencar currently doesn't make this easy on us. There are other ways to go about this with Dencar but, we are going to have a bunch of wash tickets printed. Then we can give them away when we want (should have done this day one of opening with Dencar) and put them together in gift card envelopes to sell with whatever quantity we want and whatever discount we want to offer at the time. If we can get them done soon, we will push them with a heavy discount for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. We are planning on only offering them with our top two packages. The cheapskates can continue paying the normal retail price. I think wash bundles are a good way to get loyalty without unlimited wash passes. (We offer those too)
I have Unitec Sentinels. The autocashier gives a code on the bottom of the reciept. Haven't sold a single bundle yet since I turned it on this past Tuesday.

Wash bundles buy 5 get 6th or buy 10 get 12

We discount all packages automatically by $2 from 7PM to 7AM because each customer I move to a nite time special shortens our wait times for those that are willing to pay more so we can handle more car in a single day.
Roz, how much has this cut down on your lines during busy days? I was actually considering this in the past, but was hoping to hear the results of someone else who implemented it before we tried rolling it out. I guess if its a positive result its a win win for everyone since our CPD will be up, wait line will be less, and the customers who grumble about a discount will be able to get one if they go outside peak hours.

I offer bundles and wash packages. My bundles are about 10% of my total sales. Wash packages are limited to only 7 per month and when customers ask me about the wash clubs I discourage them from signing up for one. I always say why get charged every month when you can buy a bundle. 90% of my income is from single wash buys which is far more profitable then any recurring amount can be. I dont go to work every day to give my services away for free or let someone sign up for $30 a month and wash everyday. It makes me laugh when I pass by a brand new $3M auto build or $8M Tommy tunnel giving away free vacs and unlimited wash clubs only few miles from my washes. The people that build these places and give away everything for free have the money to do it but not the ability to keep them running. Im saving my money to pick these places up for pennies on the dollar just like I did in 2008.

WW machines allow me to view use by hour.

The nite time pricing has moved a few people. I could have predicted the ones I know who always seem to make a comment about prices in comparison to olden days a decade ago

Overall not a huge switch as most people are more concerned with getting the top package with desalt/debug and Graphene. That said we are keeping the program as it allows us to promote the lowest possible price which grabs attention.
