I was approached by a Girl Scout troop leader and asked if they could set up a small table at the wash to sell their cookies like they do in front of markets. I am more than happy to do so. Then we had an idea to ask the leader if when they went door to door if they would hand out discount coupons for every sale they made at no cost to them. Kind of a " you scratch my back and i"ll scratch yours. I have bought hundreds of dollars worth of GS cookies and myself have never seen anything other than cookies and money exchanged. Has any one ever done this? Would you or would you not do this? A part of me feels a little apprehensive about letting Girl Scouts do our leg work for us.

IMO, if there is mutual benefit for both parties and neither one feels as though they are being taken advantage of...then why not?

They're already doing the legwork - you could always add the incentive of donating an extra amount to for every coupon redeemed. That ought to make you feel better.

I refuse to have anything to do with Girl Scout cookies because Michelle Obama says they aren't healthy.
Must be true if Queen Michelle said it.. I will now turn all Girl Scouts over to the local socialist party officials.. but then agian she looks like she may have had a few cookies go to her..um(well you know) :)

Everyone knows that Girl Scout cookies are not part of the popular Kenyan Diet. Short ribs and caviar, however, are.

Sorry to hyjack your thread but my pride in my First Family is unbridled and unabashed and I simply must express it.

I think the Girl Scouts are prohibited from promoting commercial enterprises. Other than their own cookies.
