I have two fairly new acceptors that seem to be having issues sending a pulse, is there a way to test them. I found one post where it was said that they have a heating issue sometimes, but that is all that I have been able to find on the forum. I had turned the power off to check one of them I messed with the wiring for a bit and it started working again. I am guessing it just cooled off and started working.

You can connect them to power and use a 24V test light or electromechanical counter to watch the pulse, or switch the acceptor to another piece of equipment to confirm that the problem is with the Sensortron. The problem with a failing output is not unusual with them. Get it fixed under warranty if you still can, because they don't repair them at all once they're out of warranty. Make sure you include a description of the problem if you send them in, including "fails when hot."
