You put the .25 in and they count on the small red coin count display (1,2,3,4). But don't count on the big red display....just all 0000. Replaced the timer in the equipment room that is mounted on the door. Then I swapted out the coin count wire,(wire with green strip on it). Still does the same thing...its got me???

The "big red display" is a separate unit from the one in the room, just a slave display. Does the bay still run normally? If so, the GS-31 display is bad.

With Ginsan equipment, the display/countdown timer doesn't actually control anything. It functions indepently from the timer and meterbox. What this means is that typically, when a display fails, you can still deposit coins to start the bay and the bay will start and run normally, controlled by the timer in the equipment room.
If the bay isn't starting at all, and the display isn't working, sounds like you need to call GinSan tech support. I have called them on several occasions and they are pretty good.
