Giant Accumulator/Pulse Dampener Leaking

I have several Giant 12GPM pulse dampeners installed on my Spot Free Pumps (Cat 1010's)...running about 400 psi. They lasted about 9 months before they started leaking water out the top, so I rebuilt them with new bladders last week.

Two of the three are already leaking out the top again. Is there a trick to getting these things to seal? BTW...when I rebuild them, I use tire bead sealant to seal the bladders to the top as suggested by the manufacturer.

Ideas?

Have you tried running the unit without them? My SS bays came equipped with Giant accumulators. As they start leaking I take them off and throw them away. I have many bays running with none at all and can't tell the difference. My older Mark VII autos used a Hypro dampener. I removed them as they failed and again can tell no difference.

According to James from Arimitsu a pulse hose is a special type hose. Just capping any piece of hose you will have something that just looks like a pulse hose.

I replaced all my Giant accumulators with pulse hoses several years ago. No leak problem and much cheaper.

The Hypro pulse dampers will last - I've seen some 20 years old and still holding their charge. The Giant ones seem to go bad very frequently.
