$4.38 here in Southeast NC. Personally haven’t seen a reflection yet on either wash. Summers are always slow

The last time gas prices at he pump reached $5 the barrel of oil price was $147 per barrel, now per barrel price is $118........Donchyajust love monoplies? I don't!!

I remember it getting up to $4 here in early 2008 and then not quite that high maybe in 2013(?) but never $5.

I'm pretty sure it was 2006, it was definitely within a year of two. I remember well because I had taken a second job that had me driving 150 miles round trip, my truck at the time with a 30 gallon tank was costing up to $150 to fill up every three days.

Record high prior to this year was $4.05 in June 2008..

That chart represents median prices for the entire country, does it not?
It would not reflect anomalies throughout the country due to logistics, demand, fuel type (California's winter and summer blends), etc.
