Garage door panel uestion

Waxman

Super Moderator
we have insulated steel doors on the automatic wash.

there is one panel of windows in each door.

has anyone ever put in multiple window panels (thinking 1 extra on each door for now) on a metal insulated overhead door?

thanks!

I just replaced the doors at my wash. They were all glass four panel and I went with 2 panels this time. The 2 glass panels are in the middle.

Waxman I would find out if there is a weight difference in the panel vs. window and if your motor can raise in the door with the weight differences.

the glass panel is considerably lighter. that's part of the reason i want the glass; to make less work when doors get water logged (insulated panels take on water over time.)

There are 2 types of insulated garage door panels, urethane filled and Styrofoam filled. The urethane filled doors do absorb water over time. The Styrofoam filled doors do not.
