Hi there,
Yesterday, while performing routine maintenance, I noticed that even though the timer was off in one of my bays, I still had pre-soak chemical continuously flowing from the gun.
My first thought was that a solenoid valve was stuck open. When I walked into the machine room, I found the pre-soak bucket filling and the Flojet pump running continuously at a normal pace. I replaced the solenoid valve, and initially thought that solved the issue. After the replacement, when I pressed the "Off" button on the selection panel during a pre-soak test run, the pre-soak pressure slowly dissipated as expected to an off state.
What has me scratching my head is what happened next.
When I went back into the machine room, the Flojet pump was still making its popping sound, but with much less frequently and much "softer" popping than before. At the same time, none of the bay guns were dispensing pre-soak chemical, and I have not found any visible leaks. There is no red pre-soak dripping from the ceiling, and there are no obvious signs that chemical is escaping anywhere.
That's what's confusing me. The Flojet pump continues to cycle periodically, which suggests it's seeing a pressure drop somewhere, but all of the solenoids appear to be closed. If a solenoid were still stuck open, I would expect to see pre-soak coming from one of the bay guns, but I'm not seeing that.
At this point, I genuinely believe all of the solenoids are closed, yet the Flojet pump continues to run intermittently.
Sorry for the long explanation—I just wanted to provide as much detail as possible. Has anyone encountered something similar or have any thoughts on what I should check next. Thank you in advance!
