I just received a phone call from a local food vendor who wants to sell tacos and hot dogs at my carwash site on weekends. He has a small 7' x 14' trailer to sell food out of. He already has a license from the county health board, business license and liability insurance - he's just looking for a location to setup. This is a new venture for him. I told him that I'm interested in trying it out for a probation period, to see how well it does and my customers like the food. My only concern I have at this point is that it *might* encourage more customers to socialize and linger. My carwash is located on a very narrow lot, and I don't have a lot of space for my customers to hang out and eat. The natural flow is that customers pull in, vacuum, wash and then drive off. Does anyone have any experience with food trucks/trailers? We're also trying to negotiate what the rent would be. Any feedback and advice would be greatly appreciated!
