Any rule of thumb for sizing the F/B wall booms? Are they supposed to reach the center of the bay, or less than that? Replacing my current ones, and cant remember the rational we used (15 yrs ago) for sizing them back then.

Thanks in advance for you input!

I am curious what people have to say about this. I will be adding tri-foam wall mount booms in the spring.

Ours reach a little more than a third of the way out from the wall to the boom, and I'd like it if they were longer. I need to remember to look for a heavier self-recoiling hose, maybe in 1/2", and put a section below the boom and above the straight hose to give a little extra reach for longer trucks.
