Expense Rule of Thumb for self serve Car Wash?

Very generally speaking, on a 9 bay self serve car wash with 1 drive thru, what is a good rule of thumb for what percentage of Gross Income the expenses "usually" run? 30%-40%?

Depends on GR. The higher the GR the lower the expense percentage as you have some fixed costs. Also depends on how you set your chemical dilution rates, but using 40% is probably a safe number if making over $150K.

Cost of chemicals is important too. I get mine at cost and I blend products together to make it both more effective and more cost effective, so my chem cost with a very busy 6-bay SS is about 5% gross.
