Hello - Have any experienced breaker tripping to the point that you lose HP on a cat pump. All functions work except you lose high pressure. When you go to switch the breaker off then back on - you regain pump pressure - Is there an overheating issue I should be concerned with, or is it merely a breaker change? What experience have you had in regard to this sort of issue?

I've recently dealt with that at a car wash. One bay kept tripping the breaker in the panel, and the motor was reading really high amps on one leg, so I replaced the motor. After about a month the breaker started tripping again, so I replaced the breaker and it was fine. A couple weeks later another bay started tripping the breaker but nothing was reading high. Replaced that breaker too and it hasn't done it again. So yes, the breakers can go bad. Excessive pressure on the pump can also cause it to trip.
