To all DS 5000 owners you may already know this but I found out the hard way. We always take care of and keep an eye on the Arch roller chains but we never thought we had to worry about the double banded drive chain
located in the middle upper housing. This morning on our busiest day in months this chain(full of grease) broke apart and the gantry took a 3 ft dive down to the springs while washing a customers car. Needless to say my automatic is down until Monday or Tuesday. I will be replacing the chains in both of my automatics every 3 years.
