I am in the Wash. D.C. area and my boiler for floor heat is on its last leg after more than 20 years. Also have leaks in the tubing that need repair. Can anyone speak to the ability of infrared heaters as an alternative method of controlling the freezing water in the winter? Thanks.

Infared heat

We took ours out---but we have floor heat too---it really gets cold here and still get ice on floor. 1--they needed alot of upkeep 2---they were not cheap to run 3--kinda worked but not 100%---more like 45%

Floor heat should be 1st on your mind--
