I want to add a scrolling digital display on the front of our automatic. I have a few spare DX-2000's and was wondering what the thoughts were on programming a custom message and using them...thoughts?

IMO they would be way too small.

I would use it as more of a message center/upsell opportunity for customers at the ACW. It will draw the eye from passing cars, but I have no intention of expecting them to read the message. Does that make more sense?

Hamilton had one for the ACW 4 that if I'm not mistaken was made by Dixmor. It was the same height as the DX-2000 but a little wider and mirrored the display of the ACW. It was very visible and did well to draw attention to the unit.

I'm not as concerned about the ACW, I want a display on each side of the entrance with just a custom message scrolling.

That's what I was saying, it should draw attention to the bay, especially if you end up putting a door on it.

The beauty of it is that with these extras displays, all I have to do is run the 24vac lines and I'm golden.
