Cryptopay Reader to Vending Machine

Anyone ever rig up a Cryptopay reader to an MDB bill validator. The Cyrptopay MDB reader isn't recognized by out machine, so we wanted to try to hook up a regular cryptopay reader so the pulse comes from the bill validator. We have an MEI AE2632 bill validator. This is on a Kooler Ice Vending machine. We are trying to avoid adding another credit card processing company.

This is the only swiper that might work but you need to contact Cryptopay to get the latest list of compatible vending machines.

We have one of those readers and tried it. It connects, but the transaction won't go through. The reader just highlights Green, but the transaction won't process, so the machine won't vend the ice. In talking to cryptopay, they asked if we could kind of rig it into the bill changer, but won't help past that because it isn't a standard install.

What does the vending machine maker say? Is there a way for you to enable a card reader in it's programming? Just because a machine has the MDB doesn't mean it's just a matter of plug and play. They may not have the ability to add a card reader, of any kind, enabled in their system.
