Cryptopay issue

Has anyone had their count up Cryptopay randomly turn off when someone is washing? Someone this past weekend used the tap plus reader to start the bay, washed for about 4 minutes, and then it randomly turned off. He tried to tap his card again but it didn’t work so he eventually swiped it on the swiper. Never seen that happened. Any thoughts?

If it has enough available on the card for the site wide preauth, then it will start. It will then go to the max per swipe setting on that Cryptopay device OR when the stop button is pressed.

Well he had used the tap plus reader, worked for 4 minutes, then the bay turned off. He then went around to the meter box tried to tap again, it didn't work. So he swiped the same card and it turned back on until he was done.

Were you physically there to witness this? Or was this a phone call that the customer explained what happened to you?

Either way if it's not a recurrent issue or you cant replicate it your self then I wouldn't worry about it.

There are gremlins in the industry and cryootoay also had an outage (not sure if related) but could be cause of issue. It's also possible you lost internet for a few minutes. I know the swipers will store transactions. Not sure about the tap readers though.

If this was a one time occurrence just leave it alone and dont worry.

I was not physically there but I have cameras were I can clearly see that it happened. And yes I haven't been able to replicate it. Saw other people were having issues with cryptopay this past Sunday so maybe it was apart of that. Thanks!
