Credit card problems

Hello all. I am new here. We have several ss car washes. We installed the Etowah Valley cc systems in 5 bays at 1 location last year and in 4 bays at another loccation a few months ago. None of them are accepting cards anymore. I have tried cleaning them with alcohol and have checked the grounding to see if that was the problem. ( I am reading .1 v between common side of transformer and my credit card swipe ground.) I was wondering if anyone has had a problem like this. I am looking for some kind of troubleshooting info for the swipes.

You probably need to update the computer chips in the timers. New regulations were phased in at the first of the year that caused all of mine to stop working. I contacted Jim at Etowah and he send out some replacement chips that solved the problem.

Thank you for your answer. I have 1 working at each of the locations now. one of the locations acts like I am not even attempting to swipe a card, the other location, they give me a read error.

yes, I have talked to Jim several times. He thought I had a grounding problem, I have eliminated that. I am waiting to here from him as to what to check next. I was just curious if anyone else had this kind of problem or had any suggestions as to what I need to be looking for.
