Credit Card count up signage

I am designing some new signs for around the credit card units, and wanted to see what advice you guys that already have signage up would have. It is for count up with Cryptopay equipment. What would you change about your wording, what seems to work well to convey the information -- of course, pictures of your signs would be fantastic if possible. Thanks!

Here you go. Whatever you decide it wont matter you will always have a certain percentage of customers that just dont read and cant follow instructions. You will also have calls from those people who act like your ripping them off as if a business can advertise a $3 SS wash but actually charge $20 and stay in business for 15 years. Then when you tell them they didn't push the stop button they will argue out of ignorance that they did. Just refund them, move on, and collect more money from them in the future.

We have Tap + with the external “red” stop button and buttonless swipers on the doors so not to confuse customers with a red button and a flashing green button. Here are the signs we had made.

You have two STOP buttons.

You have two STOP buttons.

I’ve got one stop button and a stop on the rotary switch for the equipment. That is not a button. Although it hasn’t been an issue at all when I go to re decal the meter boxes, I will change that stop to unused as I think Dan K had suggested on here before. If someone can’t read the sign or see the sticker on the credit card reader that says stop charges then there really is no hope for them. I can only do so much.

Yup. Totally agree. Plus, you refunding and moving on is the best way to go about it. The idiot customers will just dispute the charges if you don’t refund and unfortunately since the sites are unmanned without signed receipts, there’s no way to fight the dispute.

Awesome guys, thanks for your responses! For those of you that have both swiper and tap, do either get the majority of use? I've talked to a couple of other owners who have recommended just going with tap…

Knowing I had credit card installation in the pipeline, I had already gotten rid of the stop decal on the rotary switch when I last replaced the decals, so hopefully that will help a bit

Thanks again!

I agree with AZ. Just go tap. Im seeing the same usage at my washes which is about 85 - 90% tap. Also cryptopay does not make the tap unit (the ones I have) that pairs with the swipers anymore. Go tap plus and forget the swiper.
