Count-Up Conversion

So I am about to add one of Cryptopay's new standalone tap-to-pay units onto one of our vacuums. It is a combo vacuum and currently has an IBX GT200 timer. My questions are: can this timer do count up for CC but still count down for coins? With it being a combo vacuum, can it count up differently for the different selections? If not, what's the recommended timer replacement or should I just leave it as count down?

Not likely. We have count up for bays and count down for vacs. Vacs usually have enough time for customers to clean a vehicle especially since min charge for cc on a vac is $3 so the cc fee rate is lower.

Im not sure about the timer because some online schematics show that certain GT200 do have a credit card input. Im assuming that would be used for count up. Best way to know 100% is just log in to cryptopay and start a chat. They will be able to tell you for sure.

I will add IDX is out of business. If you really want count up then a dixmor would be a good alternative if its not supported through your IDX.

Me personally I just charge a standard rate of $2 a swipe on vacs. No count down or count up. Just $2 a swipe.

$2 for 4 minutes is where we are, all of the swipes are on the vacs now and Cryptotap Plus in the bays.

Cash purchases are count down and credit purchases can be count up on the same unit. Dixmor timers can not charge different amount for different services in count up mode. I just charge the same rate for fragrance, shampoo, and vac. I get so little fragrance and shampoo use that I don't worry about it. I plan to convert my fragramatics vacs to all LED6 units eventually so that everything displays the purchase amount.

I agree with you, fragrance options rarely get used however many use our shampoo options. Very popular and helps us stand out from competition.

We have two shampoo/fragrance/vac combo units and two fragrance/vac combo units. They all get used a lot, but I have noticed that people spend WAY more time on the shampoo. The fragrance gets used more often, but it is just for the last 20 or fewer seconds of their vacuuming cycle.

Yes the GT200 works both count down and count up if Credit card is enabled. Yes, IDX is gone but Kleen Rite now is the master distributor for most of the old IDX line. They have the same engineering firm that built IDX line build them for KR.
