Andys & others,

It would be interesting if someone familiar with some of the operators in Australia could share their experiences with the polymer specific to self service bill acceptor in bay use. They have their polymers available for general public use on their $5 bill since 1992!

If you’re using a Standard System 500 or 600 validator when the new Canadian Polymer banks notes come out you’re going to have replace the validator with a conversion kit that replaces the System 500 or 600 with a Mars MEI validator. This kit will be available soon from Standard and will cost in the neighborhood of around $1000. It replaces everything in the changer but the Hoppers.
