I have a cat 340 pump leaking oil out the seal on the motor side. Is this a easy fix? I can not find any videos on the crank repairs.

It isn't too bad. Have you tried looking for a service bulletin on Cats website? I'm can't remember if you can just take off the pulley and take the side cover off or if you need to pull the back cover off to get the crank out. If you would be comfortable tearing a car engine down this is easier.

Replacing the seal is easy - I assume since it's a 340 it's direct drive, so you'll have to remove it from the motor. That's the worst part. From there you can just take off the side cover and pop the seal out. Take care when reassembling it since it's easy to damage or fold the seal the wrong way when you slide it over the end of the crankshaft.
