I would like to hear +'s and -'s for any of you that have used both? I just put in a pump stand that was sitting for a few years it has 2120's. I have all my old 310's that I was going to sell, but now I'm thinking of keeping them. For what I will get for them I dont know I should sell as I have never had any issues and I dont know much about the 2120's. Thanks for your opinions in advance.

The 310 is probably more reliable that the 2120. The 2120 is very easy to work on compared to the 310 and does not require the special tool for seal replacement that the 310 does. The 310s will bring upwards of $150 each on ebay. That being said, I have removed all my Cats over the years and replaced with Arimitsu.

There's not a significant difference between the two, except the crankcase of the 310 is a little beefier and more reliable. It's still pretty uncommon to have an issue with the 5CP crankcase as long as the oil stays full and clean. The manifolds of both are equally susceptible to washout, but once you have stainless seats put in they should be good for a lifetime. The one major difference is the seal retainer - the 310 generally requires a special tool, is easy to damage and costs about three times as much as the one for the 5CP.
