The long guide rails are used to keep cars in line as they drive through. There are no drive rails for the gantry. it's defiantly stationary. The dealership was called lone star auto. Just looked it up.
Could be a very early N/S design that I have never seen before. They have a pretty high presence in the drive through/dealership market. Not sure they ever used hydraulic motors though. My bet is still a home made/ very small manufacturer.
The gantry is raised off of the ground, though. It would be odd for it to have thick feet and to be raised off of the ground if it were stationary. This would be very odd construction for a stationary wash, actually.
