Can anyone comment on KR In-Bay Presoak

I've never used any chemical from KR, but I do use JBS and if it is a relable of their chemical, I would say that it is pretty good. I've been using JBS for several years and have been very satisfied, they're very good people to deal with.

I've been using JBS Storm Hyper Special for a couple of years. It does a decent job on the bugs.

My wife was doing her car in the SS after a trip and commented how easy the bugs came off after letting them dwell in presoak for a few minutes.

What I've been told is that JBS use to make it and sold the recipe...I don't know who makes it now. Perhaps when I get the MSDS sheet it will shed some light.

Apparently this is their best seller...so some of you have to be using it and I'm just asking for your non-scientific impressions.

Is that the purple stuff? I used to use kr chemicals and was satisfied with everything but the presoak. It is not nearly as concentrated as their other chems.

No that's the Purple Presoak from their SS line of hyper concentrates. It's a neutral pH presoak and so it doesn't work well IMHO.

It depends on which presoak you buy from Kleenrite as to who makes it. THe 1B comes in simoniz barrels with no private labels.

Soapy...I did...it is called InBay Presoak..product # KR5019

I got some yesterday and have not really tested it much, but it foams up a lot for an Alkaline detergent.

The side of the container says Sodium Hydroxide, but the MSDS sheet says its a Potasium Hydroxide...must be an old sheet.

Sodium Hydroxide and Potassium Hydroxide are essentially the same chemical ingredient - caustic soda. They are often used interchangeably to increase alkalinity.
