Calcium build up

So I installed new cat 310 pumps and upgraded from the 820s that were in the self serve when i purchased in april. I turned the hot water up as I'm a firm believer in it does a better job and all 3 of my new cat 310s were plugged up with what appears to be calcium build up?Started pulsating and I tore them apart to rebuild them. I then reinstalled them and my lines going out are completely plugged that it would hardly let any water passed. My water softener was tested and tested out fine. Any ideas on what I can do to break down these build ups so I don't have this issue again? Thank you!

What your describing is calcium build up.
The only thing that I know that causes that hard water. Get a hard water test kit and check yourself. If you have a two tank water softener, be sure to check it when each tank is online. Also watch to see that the salt level goes down after the softener regenerates.

Not sure how your wash is plumbed but if the soapy water is fed into the pump on the inlet instead of the outlet it could be soap scale also.

It does sound like it could be calcium, but one other thing comes to mind because you said you turned your hot water all the way up. Not sure if you have a tank, or what kind, but the liners can degrade and deposit white flaky material in your lines. The age of a tank, liner type and turning it up to a very hot setting can all contribute to this degradation. I’ve experienced this first hand in a residential setting. Just one more possibility to check out.
