Broken wand removal

I found some old high-pressure sprayer guns in the shed, but it looks like they all have a broken wand stuck in them.

Perhaps previous owner didn't use break-aways.

I am wondering if there is a trick to get these out, or are these things just ready for the trash bin. Any suggestions? Pics below.
