Bill Validator Errors

I have a bill validator that will accept one bill, the will throw a "bill validator" error. I have cleaned the window and the nylon rollers on the bill acceptor. Still, it will accept one bill and vend, but will not accept another bill until the error is cleared.

What else do I need to look for?

When is the last time you had your bill validator serviced? Are there other errors listed on the control board? As part of your vendor procedure your eliminate all the errors about once a month.

The control board is seeing something in the validator it does not like, so it limits the validator to one bill. What is the highest priced item in your vendor? Make sure you have plenty of coins in the changer to make change.
