Best Credit Card Acceptors? Pros and cons

Yeah, I always search and try to find information before posting. I could not find much. The CC acceptance is changing constantly also. That is why I asked.

I?ve sold a number of the Washgear systems and they seem to work well. I?ve never gotten any complaints about them.

All that work and research and I picked a system...only to find out that only Hamilton DAN and Washcard systems work with my coin boxes. I have the Dilling Harris Millenium 2000 touch select boxes. They are really nice boxes with slots available for credit card systems. Washgear even says that their external terminal will not work with my coin boxes.

This has been a waste of my time. Someone learn something from my waste of time, please.

You could always have custom doors made, but it's hard to find someone that can do it right and it can get expensive.

I would think that if the DAN will work, so will WashGear.

I will make a call tomm, the only thing the systems i install hook into is the coin switch and pulses the timmer , but i have not installed any on D/H equipment, what brand timmer do you have

I see now, their system doesn't have a way to just input 24V and turn it on like you can with a common rotary switch. I had to give the bad news to someone who ordered and installed big Dixmor timers in all his bays and asked me to hook them up to the D/H doors. I managed to get them to work as a slave timer with no problem, but the counts were two seconds off so he just covered the door readout.

I was looking at a schematic of the touch select 1 and 2 and they both show a coin input out in the bay, i think you should be able to make it work even if you need to put a relay in. One of the schematic shows a push button in the equipment room to start the bay. I am going to call someone today, if i have a chance.

Look forward to hearing from you, Jeff ;) .

We just installed one of our systems on DH equipment in Florida. The coin input is a little different so you need a coin output that has dry contacts.

UGH. I just wanted faster acceptance on my ACW's and CC acceptance in my SS's

Well, I am going to give up on CC installation in my self serves unless someone has a system that works. I do not want to spend $15000 installing a DAN system only to pay a double transaction charge plus Visa charges in my SS's. Hamilton also said that your cash count does not go to a third party, but it does go to Hamilton. They assured me that this information would be kept confidential absent a subpoena.

Washcard simply said that they were $5000 more expensive than Hamilton for equipment and had all the charges which Hamilton does plus a monthly user fee. WOW!

Here is what I want in a CC system:

Must integrate with my 2 ACW 4's.
Must give freedom of CC processors so I can get best rate.
Would prefer if it didn't charge multiple transaction fees on SS transactions.
SS's must count up
Should not cost more than $15000 for 5 SS's and 2 ACW's including all equipment.

I suppose I could go with the DAN system on my ACW's for $3600 then put a different system on my SS's and accomplish my goals if there is any CC system that works with my DH boxes.

Again, you're going to pay two transaction fees on any system that uses the count-up method.

If you're worried about Hamilton having your cash income data, all you have to do is not hook up the wires from the coin and bill acceptors to the DTT.

Does the Hamilton DAN use the serial connection to run the D/H timer and enable the bay? If it uses the normal hot out and you were told that it will work, then so will WashGear. If it doesn't then you were lied to.

All I know is what the manufacturers have told me. Washgear does not work with DH Millenium Coin Boxes. Washgear also says that they don't have two transaction fees on count up on the SS.
Hamilton fees are higher because you have multiple charges on the SS's and they limit your choices of processors.
That's what Washgear and Hamilton have told me.
