BBB Contacted me over Wash Club Memberships

So you would give her her money back? She claims she never uses the car wash but signed up for 30 days and washed it i think 7 times. Now Shes claiming she didn't sign up for it to be reoccurring charge and that what I did was illegal. She was a total B on the phone. She claims she never got the automated text about signing up but I can assure you she did, and that the software is not malfunctioning.
I would refund the money for the second month she has not used. No, I would not refund the original charge for the pass that she has already used.
 
While it's not a frequent issue, this does happen. Sometimes I have people who just admit they forgot to cancel it or they didn't know it was recurring or they moved and realize several months later they let it roll. We pride ourselves on customer service. If the customer didn't use it, I cancel and refund for what they didn't use. Most people are understanding and as I mentioned a lot of the time the ones who forget, admit they forgot and call to cancel (sometimes they don't even expect or ask for the refund) but still the right thing to do as long as it wasn't used during the time period. Just my opinion.
 
Trust me, I get the principled position...my default response to someone being a jerk off the bat is "f*** that guy"...That said, I've found it much easier to just kill the problem with "kindness". Even if it's faux and through gritted teeth, the problem goes away faster, and I waste fewer heartbeats.
