Bay heating

Hi All,

I have a quick question.

Would you recommend entrance/exit and inside bay heated floors or could I cost save and only heat entrance and exit?

depends on climate and if you have another way to heat the bay.

here in new england, i have heated entry/ exit aprons and bay floors in my iba and heated floors ( and trough) in ss bays. if I built a new wash today, I would put a heated apron all the way around the building. this apron might be a little shorter going into the self serve bays.

I would agree with Waxman. Ice is a major pain.

If you are in a really cold climate you might consider heat in the walls as well.

I would not skip on floor heat, especially if there is north entry or exit. I also have doors due to extreme weather here in Montana
