Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a battery backup for an IBA? Specifically a Razor. Have had the issue of the power going out while a car is in the wash and the machine will not reset to the home position once the power comes back on, so it needs to be manually reset on site.
would need a generator, but even then there is a 1 minute delay, so unfortunately, nothing would work. I don't expect the power to go off often while it's washing, so you probably shouldn't worry about it to much. Seems like bad luck that time.

If Tesla services your area, a Power Wall would be perfect. Small, quiet, no maintenance but admittedly a bit pricey.
If you join the VPP (Virtual Power Plant) program you can sell high value electricity and get some ROI. Load shifting helps with ROI as well.

How old is the razor? Can that be programmed into the settings to return home? Can you remote into the machine? Not familiar with razors, but those would be nice to have features

The Razor is 9 or 10 years old. I work on a newer razor edge at another location and have not had this issue. Maybe it could be something in the settings like you're saying. When the power comes back on it does move, almost like it's trying to reset, but doesn't go to home.
Not too often. The most recent outage was during a storm (funny how people still wash their cars during that) but sometimes heavy wind will also cause the power to go out. It usually comes back in a matter of minutes.
