Basic pay stations

What is everyone doing for new paystations? I don't need anything fancy. I have 2 Unitec WS2's and they are fine, but the add on EMV card acceptance is starting to be problematic with Nayax, and I think customer's are having issues with the card reader and unitec not really integrating well together. I have Portals at other locations and like them but they are so expensive. All I really need is something that takes cards, cash, gives change, and fires washes. My subscriptions are handled by Beacon Mobile's app so don't need it to sell or market anything for me. Is there anything out there that is not $30,000 +?

Thanks,

If you are looking for something simple, we have a Hamilton Gold line in storage we would sell that we took out at our wash when we switched over to Unitecs. They are older but are known to be a really simple machine and built like a tank. Everything was functional when we took it out. Takes cash, card, quarters, and codes. Gives back quarters.

i have a 20 year old hamilton goldline that has been super reliable. i got the tap reader for it and it also has a swiper and a mars validator. every couple years i buy new carbon fiber vinyl wrap to spruce it up because the stainless looks shabby after 2 decades of presoak mist on it.

i think i've replaced a controller and thats about it. i put a new face plate on when i upgraded my iba and it looks nice. this is one of those reliable pieces of equipment that you're so happy to have around the carwash because it just does its job and gives you very few if any problems.

The ws2’s have been rock solid but they quit accepting newer cards and Unitec has no upgrade path for them. I bought an interface board and installed a Nayax card reader on it but keep getting issues with double charges or card charged but the wash didn’t start complaints. It’s clunky because you have to select the wash first then present card to the Nayax and then wait for it to authorize then it sends pulses just like adding a dollar bill so that also takes a few seconds. I think customers are impatient and try tapping their card again before it sends the pulses and then we see double charges. The issue with it not firing a wash is still puzzling me and I’ve swapped around almost every component with the other paystation and can’t seem to isolate or recreate it.

Thanks
