Automatic Potential Revenue

Dang dude. 7500 & ZERO competition doesn't sound believable.
I'd get an Oasis Typhoon, Petit or Wash World Double Barrel & add all bells & whistles + as nice an LED light show as you can! As good as you're gonna do, you need to buy top of the line. Not a dang bottom basement XR7. Restaurants don't serve Dr Thumder, they serve Dr Pepper, & for a dam good reason!
Put a couple HUGE banners up that it's coming. Have 10 , yes TEN days of half price washes when you open, & then give 3 pkgs. Make sure the top pkg is @ least $18! Make sure you put your dryers 15' out the back of the bay, so those cars leave immediately!
Use Gold Dollars as your change, not qrtrs! That GoldLine w/ Cryptopay swipe & tap will work flawlessly!
You are going to make MORE than the rest of your wash, w\ this setup!
Trust me: I'm a coach & a Sooner.😎

my business philosophy is that you always want to be re-investing into your business when the time is right. Could I have kept my old sidetrack touch free machine running a few more years? Probably. but for me, the money I spent installing new equipment and refinishing the inside of the wash bay was well worth it. The new technology is amazing and the machine cleans cars like crazy with the distributors chemicals. The computer touchscreen interface is a dream to diagnose problems and look at the wash as it is operating as well as keeping track of maintenance items. I know it's important to be frugal, but if you're constantly trying to squeeze every drip of productivity and revenue out of an old outdated piece of equipment that can be very stressful. My life as an owner operator is much more enjoyable now and it has made me enthusiastic about the car wash business again.
This is very true! I think its solid advice

LOL. It's hard to believe you're the same guy that several years ago probably took a few years off my life while I was trying to guide you through that first disaster you bought. Kind of a proud papa moment.

Danny,
I'd rather everyone think I've always been a carwash guru. Ha.
But dang, you're right. Those first couple yrs I got taken to the cleaners, hoodwinked, bamboozled! You, & a few others, tried to gimme advice, but all I could do was poor pitiful me.

Dan Kam is correct. When I started , I was so tight & cash strapped I couldn't make any money.
After learning the hard way for a couple yrs, I now realize.... u gotta spend $$ to make 💰💰.
Buy an iBA that is a lil nicer than you can afford. Get ALL the bells & whistles & add an LED light show.
You MUST have Hot, Soft water, STOUT Pre Soak & dwell time. Then offer 3 pkgs & make the top pkg OVER $15, NO MATTER where you are!
Every owner on this board wishes we had bought what you just bought! EVERY owner

Why 3 instead 4 packages? What's the benefit?

No risk
No reward

Sometimes you need to take a leap of faith.

Cannot go wrong with a WW Razor. Very operator friendly and easy/quick to service. Plus you can control it remotely if necessary

Do not overthink it. Even the best Proforma sheets can be wrong.

You also have to think about what package you are omitting when you go from 4 to 3, and it should be the most basic express/econo/cheap wash. That bumps your lowest 10% or so of customers up to the next package price. Definitely a positive move.

Interesting. Anyone else experienced with 3 vs 4 packages?

four works for me. I have an older cashier and so I can't do buyups. right now I'm $16,18,20,22. A high percentage of the customers get the 22. I'm planning to add graphene and so that will involve a price increase to $25 for the top package. might add a soap or xtra rinse too; not sure yet. I will eliminate the $16 package so my lowest wash will be 18$.

I received a quote today for $155k. That is for a XR7 with undercarriage, triple foam, cold weather package, & free standing dryers, in bay signage (speakers). I have an older Hamilton pay station that I installed the updated kit & cryptopay last year so that will be used still. Thoughts?
That older Hamilton unit may be obsolete as of August….as in no parts or support.

Those acw units are almost bulletproof, and there should be a good amount of used parts available for a while. A newer cashier should in theory increase sales though, maybe an upgrade for down the road of budget doesn't allow for it now. Careful of ongoing costs and increased complexity with newer cashiers
