Anybody tried Universal boartex brushes?

I've used this one for 5 years, same hair. works great & lasts longer. no scratches no complaints.

Have not tried them, but looked into them for prep brushes in my tunnel. They are not as soft, require soaking to soften them up and do not have the resistance to grease that the natural hogs hair has. If they dry out for a few hours in a self serve bay and then get used, they won’t have the soft texture. .

I am looking at these for a higher abuse SS site, the hogs hair are getting abused and destroyed faster than our other site that does almost double the SS volume. Looking at these vs nylon.

Update on this in case someone comes back later. We tried the fake hogs hair from 2 companies and neither were even close to actual hogs hair. We have gone back to the KR brand of hogs hair brushes everywhere.

I put one of the Boartex heads on SS 1 year ago and it has held up great. Already replaced the hog daddy next to it as it was looking worn. A little shinier than boars hair but on the car it feels the same.

I'm a big fan of nylon. I've used them to hand wash all my detail shop cars since the 80's and have never had an issue with a nylon wash brush. I'm not sure why boar's hair ever became popular in SS washing. If a nylon brush is adequate for the nicest cars I clean in New England at my detail shop, it's fine for my SS carwash customers.
