Adding Floor Heat

Hey, I'm looking for some advice on adding floor heat to an existing site. We have a number of sites now that are in the cold, cold band for the winter, and these were built without floor heat. I'm just curious if anyone has retrofitted floor heat or has other solutions to try and keep the bees safe during the depths of winter.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. This has been a pain in my butt last year, and I now have more sites in the cold areas that I really want to protect.

One guy near Waxman’s wash gouged out 2” wide trenches on all his floors and installed floor heat. It looks terrible but was fairly effective. I’d describe that washes overall theme to be Ghetto Chic.
I’ve replaced entire floors and installed complete systems. It’s a lot of work but is the way to go. Be sure to use one of the Carwash floor heat companies, Huron valley and Carwash Boilers are the only 2 I’m aware of. I use the local supply house to design the tubing layout for an addition. I’d like to rip it all out and redo that area. Barely keeps the floor above temp and I run the boiler at a higher temperature trying to keep the ice off. The industry pros really make a difference in your project in this case

I need to reach out and get some quotes. as with most things car wash niche im sure they'll come back with some comedy figures. I'm definitely trying to run a calculation on years to ROI as well as looking at some other less invasive approaches.

I don't think there's going to be any cheap or easy way to do this. It's one of those things that should really be done when a car wash is built. Also I know you know this, but it seems like it's a little late to be thinking about this for the coming winter season right?

Oh yeah, I'm playing the long game here. We've gone from 5 sites at the beginning of the year to 12 sites at the end of the year. There's a lot of longer-term planning that I'm trying to do through Q4 to plot out the next couple of years of development.

I thought buying those two tunnels would slow you down, but I guess not!
