We have had only minimal damage claims with our Profile -- a wiper blade here and there; and an antenna once.
by any chance do you allow customers to use your profile with tow hitches, roof racks, or brush guards? if you do have you had any issues with the machine reacting to those accessories? how long does the profile take to clean the car with your different packages? what is the daily cars that go through your profile (on the low, average, and high). sorry for all the questions I am looking to buy a profile myself for my first IBA :)

We have had all those items go through our wash and the Profile seems to not have any problem with them. On rare occaisions, it will contact something on someone's car or truck that it doesn't like, and will abort the wash. This happens only rarely. It will do an Auto-return and will allow the next car to enter. At this time, we have 3 pkgs priced at $7, $10 and $13, and they take 4-1/2, 5-1/2, and 7-1/2 minutes in that order. We are in the process of adding another bay with a Razor, offering the same pkgs., and I believe the Razor will do these in less time. We are also adding a 4th pkg. for $15 that will include a Ceramic Sealer. Not sure at this point the actual timing yet. We wash approx. 21,000+ cars a year; and for some unknown reason that I am very thankful for, the last couple of months here have been huge for us. The average this month has been almost 75/day. With numbers like these, we do put alot of wear and tear on this Profile -- changing alot of belts, hoses, gearboxes, motors. Hoping the addition of the Razor will reduce the amount of maintenance needed to keep the Profile going strong.

Thanx for your kind words. We're being punished the last couple of days when it rained, so daily numbers were like 18 and 24 so far this week. Once the rain goes away, I hope all those big numbers come back. That's the car wash business. Ya just never know!

DANGGG 18-24 cpd from what my proforma says is still really good!!! You my good sir got a really cool car wash business going and because of your experience with washworld specifically the profile I would be honored if I could maybe hop on a quick phone call with you some day discussing my plan and most importantly the kinds of options and accessories I should go for and stay away from.

Ordered the machine first of the month and it's supposed to ship first week in March. I did put all the options including touchless wheel detailers on it. I'll post some feedback when we get it running.
with the touchless wheel detailer did you add on the tire chemical applicator? and it has been quite sometime since you installed your profile' have any updates regarding its performance? what is your daily cpd through the machine, how is the reliability, how are the customers liking it, any problems or complaints with any of the optional add ons you added? do you have the foam n flow?

I'll let APW give you their remarks about the touchless wheel detailer, which we also have, and we did not add the tire chemical application. I was once advised, since we can wash duallys, that the tire chemical applications don't do well on them. We also do have the Foam and Flow, since we have the Profile Max.

ahhh okay thank you so much for your response! I was just a little confused as when my distributor added the power wheel detailer there is a little note that say tire chemical appliocation so i am not sure if they added that ontop of the power wheel detailer or if it comes with it automatically... here is the quote I got from my distributor if you want to see for reference and please if you have any advice or concerns on my quote please let me know :)

I looked back at our proposal, which is from 2018, and it has the same note on the Power Wheel Detailer. It's nothing separate, but I believe it is the attachment that sprays the chem onto the wheels.

The touchless detailers will spray chemical on the tire/wheel and then in another pass the detailers come back and HP rinse the tire/wheels. It does a really good job and I offer it only on my top wash ($20).

The Profile does a really good job and we get a lot of compliments on it and so far no problem with hitches, grille guards or accessories.

We do have foam n flow and we apply ceramic through it only on our top wash.

The only complaint I have and it happens almost daily sometimes twice a day or more is if a vehicle is off centered the machine will shut down and tell them to exit. The bad part is is it has already applied some soap to the car so they have to pull out covered in soap. If they call its no problem and I just turn it back on from my phone. I will say with my touchfree machines, I rarely get impacts or people so far offsides that it aborts the wash. Other than that I am very happy with it.

Also with the touchless wheel detailers it supposedly detects duallys and the wheel detailers will be cancelled for that wash. So far I can't get my machine to wash duallys because the vehicle is so wide it thinks they are off centered and it shuts down. Same thing with trucks with wide tires. I am hoping it is just a setting I have wrong and can make it work.

Our Profile can handle duallys as long as the vehicle is centered between the guides on the floor. We have that as part of our Instruction sign: "Please Center Your Vehicle Between the Yellow Guides." We also had the WW techs adjust the amperage so that the brushes give them a speck more room. It hasn't affected the wash quality. We have alot of duallys in this area of South TX and it's amazing how good those dually drivers are in getting those big tires centered in the wash bay.

Washworld thinks something is going on with my side sonars and they need to log in when a dually goes through so they can watch the "Profile" of the vehicle to see what the problem is. Hopefully get it figured out soon.

Yes, hope they can get it figured out for you. All the WW advertising for the Profile shows it being able to wash duallys.

I had a local shop make it out of 4-in square aluminum. The cameras are Lorex 4K Poe.

Thank you so much for your responses! I do have one more question though regarding the blue reflectors on the ground. Is there a reason you do not install the metal tubes/guide on the floor so that the customers are always centered for the machine?

We actually use the Yellow/Amber reflectors, since they go better with our color scheme; but I've found that people feel intimidated with the rails, sometimes drive over them, and are not comfortable going between the rails. It's a personal decision that we made. I know many others use the rails.
