We have ACW4 with refund button and then 4 wash selections. We had someone pry the refund button off and go in and get wire harness. Then they used the wires and cleaned out the coin box. Yes we have cameras but was not working at time. We then disabled the refund button. We put a piece of metal over the hole and didn't even have refund button. They came back exactly 7 months later to the day and worked very hard and moved the metal piece out of the way and cut the garden hose covering we had over the wire harness. They were then able to use the wiring harness. However, since we had the refund button disabled, they did not get anything. You ask Did you catch them? No our recording had a virus in it. I have since went back to time lapse and check it every single day to make sure it is working. We have since made a permanent cover over the refund button.

Dispensers: Last week we did have a 14 year push in the refund button and pull on the handle of our armor all wipes. if you do this at the same time, the armor all or whatever is in the machine comes out. Did catch them...have since removed the refund button our paper towels and armor all dispensers. This is just FYI for everyone. Have owned wash for 8 years and been blessed this is all we have had happened to us.

Put in a good GFI- It should kill the power if shorted out. You can put it in the acw or in equip. room as a GFI circuit breaker. Time to throw the time lapse away and get some kind of DVR or computer card. Not sure about the armorall, but you should take out the pull handle and check it out- it-- must be worn, or just bad.

yep, laurel vendors will do that if they get out of adjustment, just takes a few minutes to fix.

The proper fix to a Laurel vendor is to install a spring that keeps the small lever that rides over the last coin held down. Since the bar that goes through that flipper moves up and down, you can snap the return button out and pull the lever at the same time and it skips over the stop and allows a vend. It's a five minute/50 cent permanent fix without removing the button.
