Im looking at a site with 11,000cpd . This is a main road connecting the 2 sides of our town. Its 35 mph with 2 traffic lanes and a turning lane. The north side road has 15000cpd and the south side has 24000cpd.

The profile that developers often use as a screening model for site selection for exterior express recommends considering roads with average daily traffic of 40,000.

I’ve seen developers build express on roads with less, like 25,000, but usually these were smaller sites like 1/4 to 1/2 acre.

Unless the population is dense, like 1,500 persons per square mile or more, 11,000 ADT would be more supportive of in-bay automatic.

Thanks again Bob. I have also considered a double auto. I can do that for alot less but I was looking to make a big splash. Our town has seen enuf of the same ole same ole. All boils down to dollars and sense tho. I appreciate the input
