AC 8001 with NAYAX?

Anyone out there upgrade their AC 8001 paystation to have a NAYAX VPOS Touch? I'm now becoming a fan of NAYAX and would like to speed up the slow process of accepting cards at my paystation. It seems like it would be easy enough with a Pulse, but maybe even an MDB would be able to work? Basically, take the paystation out of the equation when it comes to cards? It's beyond frustrating that these paystations are so expensive when they basically just have to send a signal to the wash that is either 1, 2, or 3. I'm sure it's more complicated, but come on! Why is this so hard/expensive?!?

Oh by the way...if you ever have an 8001 stop working, check the card reader slot. I had that happen the other day and a little piece of paper had gotten lodged in the slot leading to the entire paystation going TU.

I don’t think most people who get into the car wash business realize what goes on behind the scenes to manufacture car wash equipment. They have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to develop and license there products, credit card PCI compliance can cost upwards of $250,000 - $500,000. UL/ETL listing can cost an easy $100,000 per product. Then you have technical support, they are overhead. Equipment manufactures have figured out that by forcing the end user who uses high speed internet to use their credit card processor they can get a piece of your sale or pie. USA Technologies ePort G10 and the Nayax VPOS were both originally designed for the vending and amusement industries and thy both get a piece of your sale when the customer uses there card, this is one of the reasons that the ePort G10 and the Nayax VPOS equipment isn’t all that expensive, there getting paid on the back end. Will the Technologies ePort G10 and the Nayax VPOS system work on a bill changer and coin box, sure they will it’s a pretty straight forward simple process if you have enough room for all the hardware in your coin box. A Paystation is a little different you need an interface between the credit card reader and the Paystation controller so the system will know which wash package has been purchased to make it work. Paystation manufactures aren’t going to make an interface board so the end user can install an aftermarket credit card system because they wouldn’t be getting anything of your pie off with the aftermarket credit card systems. In other words it’s all about money.
