There aint enough money in the world to convince me to do that job!! Holy Moly Batman!!! I like the part where hs says .... only 60 more feet to the top....heck 60 feet from the ground is too much for me. I got dizzy just watching it
Heights are somewhat subjective, depending on your point of view, at least to me. I've made a little over 1,000 skydives, not much by today's jumpers standards. But there was absolutely no fear in climbing out , on, and over different aircraft once you were up there. Of course having a dual parachute system helps in that regard. But a few years ago I had to climb a 20 foot stepladder. Took three tries.I was trying to figure out how they built that thing.
Kind of begs the question of why they use light bulbs to start with. You would think that with the cost of sending two men nearly a half mile up a ladder to change a bulb, someone would come up with something better.
Not sure about my bum puckering but I know watching that made by "boys" want to be closer to me .. I tell you what, I would be wearing one of those base jumping parachutes if I had to go free climb those last free feet.
A rig for base jumping would only come in handy if you knew how to use one and pack it correctly. For tower jumps you need to push off on the downwind side between the guy wires and open facing away from the tower. If you were to slip and fall chances are it would slow your descent as it tangled with the tower, but it would still not be a pretty sight.
